Practice!!!

Winter Percussion practice will begin this Tuesday (11/29) from 6PM-8PM. I look forward to seeing everyone, and getting this season started. Please spread the word to the other members!!!!

upper state...already?!

Well here we are upperstate weekend....y'all have no idea how proud of y'all I am. It has been a journey...thinking back to band camp and looking at y'all now are like two different lines. Go out tomorrow and leave everything on the field..whatever happens, happens.....If you leave everything on the field then nothing else matters. Again very proud of you all. :)

UPPER STATE!! 10/22/2011

Saturday October 22

11:00........... Arrive (take all instruments (with cases), equipment, and props down to the stadium)

11:45........... Rehearsal (wear Dinkles with socks of your choice)

2:30............. Load the Trailer

3:00............. Get Uniforms

3:15............. Inspection (Black Socks and shiny shoes with Hair UP)

3:30............. Leave School (wearing bibbers on the bus)

4:30............. Arrive at Boiling Springs HS (restroom break)

4:50............. Unload trailer/get in full uniform (do not play instruments)

5:00............. Props put together and ready to go

5:00 ............ short fundamental rehearsal in lot

5:20............. Leave for warm-up

5:30............. Warm-up

6:10............. Plumes, Tuning, Wooldridge & Senior Soap Box

6:30............. Leave Warm-up (get water on the way to the performance venue)

6:45............. Perform Do your best!

7:10............. All instruments in cases next to trailer

8:15ish........ Walk to stands together. Students will remain in Bibbers and coat
(put shakos gauntlets and gloves away) We will sit together. When another band is
performing we are seated and silent: **Not Talking**
SHOW RESPECT TO THE OTHER BANDS WITH YOUR SILENCE DURING THEIR PERFORMANCE. IF YOU ARE TALKING YOU WILL SIT WITH A CHAPERONE!

8:30-9:45.... Watch the other bands!!! Please cheer on each band after their performance! Be positive, enjoy dinner at this time. If you aren't eating or using the restroom you should be in our band section!

9:45............. All band members in our section ready to watch awards (USE RESTROOM BEFORE THIS TIME)

10:00 .......... Awards

10:15........ When Awards are over we will walk together to the buses and leave! (NO Restroom!)

11:45........ Get to Woodmont, Unload Trailer, Put uniforms away correctly, clean band room

Palmetto contest review

Great job this weekend, we now have the entire show complete, and we can play through it. Remember we can never go back!!!! always forward. Y'all have come a long way since band camp I wish i had of recorded y'all s progress, but we still have a lot of work to do this week, It is upper state and I am going to push y'all to the max this week so be ready. Look forward to great practices this week, no slacking off or whining please.

Saturday October 24
8:00-9:45 . Arrive (take all instruments (with cases), equipment,
